2021 Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta is a Go!
Although the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19, the 2021 Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta is set to launch from Balloon Fiesta Park once again in 2021. The 49th annual Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta is indeed a go, and it will run from October 2-10, 2021. The theme of this year’s event, which is expected to draw over 600 balloon pilots, is “Time Flies”.
“We are very excited to celebrate this year’s event with our pilots, guests, volunteers, sponsors and concessionaires. We are focused on creating a safe environment for all to comfortably enjoy 2021’s festivities,” said Sam Parks, Balloon Fiesta director of operations.
Although the 2021 Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta will proceed as planned, the following COVID-19 safe practices will be in place.
- Non-vaccinated guests are encouraged to wear face masks outdoors if social distancing is not possible.
- Face masks are required of everyone at all indoor venues.
- Main Street concessions with have cashless payment methods available.
- Attendees will be asked to provide appropriate space for the layout and inflation of the balloons on the 83-acre launch field.
