Megabus Moves West
Megabus, the first city-to-city express bus company, recently expanded its territory to include California and Nevada. Express Megabus service is now available to/from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland, Riverside, Las Vegas, Sparks/Reno, Sacramento and San Jose. Megabus previously served the West Coast in 2007-2008, but pulled out due to low customer demand. It’s hoped that the expanded route and the low Megabus fares will encourage more customers to use the service this time around. Megabus fares start as low as $1 every day and increase gradually as the traveling date gets closer. Customers are encouraged to book early to secure the $1 fares. In addition to affordable fares, Megabus offers state-of-the-art, green-certified double-decker buses with free Wi-Fi, power outlets and seat belts. Customers who need a wheelchair-accessible bus can make reservations on the Megabus website or call (877) GO2-MEGA for assistance.
