Wheelchair Accessible Snowmobile Tours
Accessible six-night snowmobile tours are now available in Quebec, through Arctic Adventure tours. The tours start in Montreal, and include airport transfers to a chalet in Chertsey, located about 55 miles north of town. Two of the chalets are accessible, and breakfasts and dinners are also included in the tour. You’ll spend the next four days exploring the area on guided snowmobile tours. The snowmobiles are individually adapted for each user, based on their disability. A special support is attached to the snowmobile seat, which gives wheelchair-users extra stabilization. Participants will also be able to enjoy ice fishing, snow tubing and skiing, all of which are fully accessible. The adventure ends with a guided tour of Montreal and a shopping stop in Saint-Sauveur. Participants must be over 21 years old and have a valid drivers license. For more information contact visit www.arcticaventure.com.
