Enjoy the 2023 New Orleans Jazz Fest
The 2023 New Orleans Jazz Fest is slated for April 28 to May 7. Live music will be presented from April 28 to April 30 and May 5 to May 7 at the Fair Grounds Race Course, which is located about 10 minutes from the French Quarter. This massive venue features multiple stages that offer continuous music from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Headliners for the first weekend include Lizzo, the Steve Miller Band, Kenny Loggins and Los Lobos; while Santana, Dead & Company, Jon Batiste and Mumford & Sons will headline on the second weekend. Of course that’s just the tip of the iceberg, as over 500 performers will grace the stages over the course of the festival.
Music at the festival ranges from jazz, blues and zydeco to folk, rock and rap. There’s even a kid’s tent for the little ones. And as more musicians stream into New Orleans, you’ll find more street performers in the French Quarter. In short, everywhere you look there’s music.
There’s also a large variety of food vendors at Jazz Fest, who feature everything from crawfish and alligator to vegetarian plates and even the standard burgers and brews. And don’t miss the crafts area, where artisans from around the world demonstrate and sell their wares.
The Jazz & Heritage Gala kicks off the 2023 New Orleans Jazz Fest with an elegant and delightful celebration of Louisiana music and cuisine on April 27th at Generations Hall in New Orleans.
