Accessible taxis are now available in Connecticut through Metro Taxi. This Greater New Haven-based company has 70 wheelchair-accessible taxis that have lowered floors and wheelchair tie-downs. The vehicles feature rear-entry ramps, and they can accommodate two wheelchair-users. Metro Taxi drivers also receive additional training on how to safely board and secure wheelchair passengers.
