The celebrity treatment begins with private transportation  from the airport. Aria Sky Suite guests are then taken to an exclusive entrance just steps from the private Aria Sky Suites check-in area, where they are quickly checked in by a concierge team member. The whole experience is refreshingly free of the crowds, noise and the long lines that seem to be the norm at other Las Vegas properties.

And that’s not all. A private lounge offers snacks and drinks all day, and wine in the evening. And then there’s the Aria Sky Suites dedicated elevators, which bypass the lower Aria Hotel floors. You never have to wait long for an elevator, and they aren’t crowded either. It’s all very civilized.

Access is good at Aria Sky Suites too, and with advance notice they can also provide accessible airport transportation. If you’re driving you own car, then just go to the North Valet, which is located across from the Vdara. Whatever you do, don’t go to the main check-in area for the Aria Hotel, as there’s no need to stand in those lines, and it’s quite a trek through the casino to the Aria Sky Suites check-in area.

A Wheelchair-Accessible Suite

Room 28018 typical is a typical Aria Sky Suites accessible room. Access features include a lowered peephole and environmental controls, wide doorways and good pathway access. Additionally, the drapes are controlled electronically, so it’s easy as pie to open and close them. And once you open them you’ll be treated to a great view of the Strip, which is especially impressive at night.

The room is furnished with two 31-inch high queen-sized beds, with good wheelchair access between them. There’s also a small refrigerator, a flat screen television and a wet bar area in the room. It’s not a huge room, but there’s certainly plenty of room for a wheelchair.

The spacious bathroom has a sliding door, with 35 inches of clearance; and a full five-foot turn around. It’s equipped with a roll-in shower with a fold-down shower seat near the shower controls, grab bars and a hand-held showerhead. It also has a 36-inch glass door with a rubber dam on the bottom, which eliminates the flooding problem common in many roll-in showers. The raised toiled has grab bars on the back and right walls (as seated); and there’s also a roll-under sink in the bathroom.
