Scooter Rental in Paris
My brother and I are going to Paris next year. I’m wondering if there is a service that we can hire to bring a scooter to him and the sites we plan to visit in the city. My brother had a stroke and usually walks with a cane, but he just won’t be able to manage the distances in some of the large museums and other attractions. Thanks for any resources you can provide.
Good for you for planning ahead. Many slow walkers don’t realize how taxing a trip can really be, and as a result they overdo it. Planning ahead for a mobility device is always a wise choice.
Unfortunately I don’t know of any service that will pick up and deliver a scooter to individual Paris attractions. That said, some of the large museums, like the Louvre and the Musee d’Orsay, have loaner manual wheelchairs available for visitors.
Alternatively, MobilityScooter.fr can deliver a rental scooter to your hotel, and pick it up when you are finished with it. They have folding scooters that can easily fit into a car trunk, lightweight scooters and larger models available. You can order one with their online form, or give them a call at +33 1 88 33 44 77 if you have any questions. For more information visit their website at www.mobilityscooter.fr.
